About Me

MY
Story

I’m a Scottish presenter, interviewer, event host, editorial filmmaker and founder of Public Knowledge, a presenter-led film and storytelling studio. I tell stories and lead public conversations that cut through complexity and help people understand what matters.

My experience spans broadcasting, live events and original film and audio production - from presenting on BBC Radio 4 and contributing to documentaries and televised debates, to interviewing senior leaders and hosting conversations at major business, music and ideas events.

I have worked inside the worlds I now explore: innovation, energy, government, investment and public policy - not simply reported on them from the outside.

Before founding Public Knowledge, I led a national energy and climate think tank, advised investors and organisations on public policy, innovation and strategic communications, and worked across UK Government in national and international affairs.

That experience means I understand what is genuinely at stake for an institution, an investor or a founder - not only what will make a good headline or an attractive scene.

That is the difference between skimming the surface and getting to the heart of what matters.

I am known for leading high-quality public conversations that move debates beyond platitudes, towards understanding, responsibility and action.

Today, I have trained my focus on Scotland’s economy - and the people, investments and ideas shaping our future.

I produce and present films, host conferences and live conversations, interview founders, experts and institutional leaders, and contribute commentary - all in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, investment, energy, infrastructure and nationhood.

Through Public Knowledge, I help organisations make complex and consequential work visible, understood and trusted. I lead the editorial development, interviewing and direction of every production, working with a trusted network of filmmakers and editors across Scotland.

I am based in Edinburgh and work throughout Scotland and the wider UK.
